Installation of photovoltaic (solar) panels

In cooperation with the sister company EPCG Solar Gradnja, we promote installation of new solar capacities, we provide services and prepare projects related to renewable energy sources, and we connect small solar power plants to the system.

There is a growing interest in the non-utility electricity generation at a global level, including the Western Balkans, both among households and companies. Through installation of a photovoltaic system, customers become so-called prosumers – consumers that meet their electricity needs from their own sources, and any potential excess/shortage of electricity, at a certain moment, is delivered/taken over through the distribution network, which is financially balanced at annual level.

In such a manner, a customer becomes, in fact, the owner of a small solar power plant, the capacity of which is designed to approximately meet their needs for electricity. There are numerous positive effects, both from the financial aspect for households and the economy, and from the aspect of the expectations of the international community related to reducing harmful gases emission and increasing the use of renewable energy sources.

EPCG Belgrade, as well as certain future subsidiaries in the EU, plans to actively participate in development of the project documentation and provide solar panel assembly services on the territory of Serbia, as well as in the region and EU, which will significantly contribute to stabilization of the renewable energy market.

EPCG Solar Gradnja

Within EPCG Group, the company EPCG Solar Gradnja is specialized and responsible for the procurement, design, installation and maintenance of solar systems – aimed at enabling citizens to independently generate electricity in commercial buildings and households.

Within the plan implementation on installation of solar panels in Montenegro, a team of more than 20 engineers and 100 licensed assemblers already constructed a solar network that generates hundreds of kilowatt-hours - while the pace of installation of new capacities accelerates every day.

Not affected by market changes, customers-generators (so-called prosumers) can achieve a significant energy and financial savings, bearing in mind the persistent trend of electricity prices’ growth that will probably be continued in the future.

Frequently asked questions and answers

What is a consumer-generator (prosumer)?

A customer is a citizen who bought a solar power plant and thus became a generator of electricity, which they can either consume or sell, in case of excessed generation.

Can I install a solar system even though my roof is not facing south?

The solar system can be installed even if the roof is not facing south, but the best use of sunlight is if the roof is oriented towards south, southeast and southwest. Also, it is important that there is no shading and that the roof is sufficiently sunlit.

Do solar systems also generate electricity in the winter?

They do generate electricity as much as there is a sunlight. To clarify, the sunlight is significant for electricity generation from a photovoltaic system, not the heat.

How long do solar panels last before they need to be replaced?

The warranty on solar panels is 20 years. They need to be replaced after that period.

If I install a solar system, will my electricity be completely free of charge?

If the system is well designed and if the orientation of the roof is favourable, users of the solar power plant will generate as much electricity as they consume.
